Sacramento E-2 Visas Lawyer
Helping Your Secure a Treaty Visa
The United States has signed treaties with many other nations, particularly treaties of "Friendship, Commerce and Navigation." These types of treaties are designed to encourage trade and investment between the U.S. and the other nation. Nationals of countries who have these treaties with the U.S. can obtain visas to come to the U.S. to further their trade or investment activity. These are known as E-visas.
Applying for these visas must be done with care and attention to detail. At the Law Office of Bunmi Awoniyi, we have thorough knowledge of the complex immigration laws and we can help you secure the visa you need. We understand the importance of trade and investment activity, both for your business and for the U.S. economy. We are committed to helping you obtaining the employment visa you need.

E-2 Visa and Business Immigration
One type of treaty visa is called the E-2 visa and is available to investors. To qualify, your home country must have a treaty with the U.S. and you must make a substantial investment in a business, usually more than $50,000. The greater the investment, the greater your chances of acquiring the visa. Buying property or stock is not enough, the investment must go towards operating the business.
Employees of the business, such as executives, managers and those with special qualifications are also eligible. Family members can accompany the visa holder.
E-1 Trader Visas
The another type of treaty visa is the E-1 visa, and it is available to nationals of countries that undertake a high volume of trade with the U.S. To be eligible, you must be coming to the U.S. with the intent to facilitate continued trade between your country and this country. In addition, at least 50% of your nation's trade activity must involve the U.S. These visas are not usually granted to ordinary workers. They are instead granted to executives or those with specialized skills.

The list of countries that have qualifying treaties with U.S. is extensive. When you come to us, we will be able to give you guidance on whether your home country is on the list. The following is a list of countries with treaties that qualify applicants for E1 and E-2 visas:
